The Result After months of intense work and weeks of waiting our college results are finally out. We are so proud to say TouchTone, the final year project of our degree has been given a 1st! This is a fantastic result and we couldn’t be happier. And as a result Omar, Mark and myself have all received a first class honours overall for our degree. We are excited now for what the future holds and particularly wish Mark the best as he goes on to do his Masters in London. Thank you all for following this small but important part of our lives and we hope it has been as interesting and enjoyable a journey for you as it has been for us.

We finally got our ReacTIVision machine yesterday thanks to Eoin Campbell/DCU Loans. The plan is to have the PS3eye connected to this running only ReacTIVision as it’s quite CPU intensive and running everything on a poor Macbook Pro would not be nice. This computer then sends OSC messages out to Marks MBP wirelessly which picks up the signals in Processing and does some magic with them! Today I got the Snow Leopard updates installed so we can create an ad-hoc network on the Mac mini and connect to it. I automated the creation of the ad-hoc network on startup and all ReacTIVision adjustments can be made using another machine and VNC so we can run the Mac mini inside the box completely headless. Marks machine will also be controlled over VNC too, which is nice.
